Floyd Has Talent to Be Next Great Bears Linebacker
This is already the second injury of note in Floyd's rookie season after he was drafted with the ninth overall pick out of Georgia in this year's draft, as he missed time earlier because of a calf injury he suffered during Week 4 against the Detroit Lions.
The 6'3", 240-pound linebacker has shown flashes of becoming an elite pass-rusher at the NFL level, thanks to his length and ability to chase down the ball from any spot on the field.
Those intangibles presented an opportunity for the Bears to nab a linebacker who could succeed in the pass rush, in man coverage and in the run game.
