Thomas Has Long Injury History
Thomas' injury woes continue to plague him in his sixth NFL season. He has never appeared in all 16 games and already missed time this season due to an elbow injury.
Now in his second year with the Jaguars, Thomas hasn't been able to match his numbers from 2013, when he was a member of the Denver Broncos and put up 788 yards and 12 touchdowns as a big-play threat.
After a 2014 season in which he recorded 489 yards and 12 scores, Thomas signed with the Jaguars and saw his touchdown total cut down to just five last year as his impact in the red zone wasn't felt as much.
However, he still garnered 79 targets despite missing four games and became a favorite target of young quarterback Blake Bortles, via Chris Wesseling of NFL.com: "He's been unbelievable. He's obviously a freak athlete and he's continued to prove that and make plays."
This season, working alongside veteran Marcedes Lewis, Thomas has been thrown to 29 times, catching 16 of those passes for 196 yards and two touchdowns.
