Chelsea Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Antoine Griezmann, Joao Cancelo, More

Antonio Conte wants to rebuild his Chelsea squad in January and has targeted Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann, Valencia's Joao Cancelo and Sevilla pair Sergio Rico and Steven N'Zonzi.

According to Spanish newspaper Sport (h/t Thomas McIlroy of the Daily Star), the Italian coach will raid La Liga after deciding on a complete overhaul at Stamford Bridge. The former Juventus manager has "told his staff" the players he wants as he attempts to reshape the Blues' fortunes.

Griezmann has continued his immense form from last term and has scored six goals in six La Liga games this season, according to WhoScored.com.

The Frenchman was one of the primary stars of Euro 2016, and his stature and stock have exploded in the past 12 months.

Matt Law of the Telegraph recently reported Chelsea will match any offer from Manchester United for the Atleti striker after scouting the France talisman for two years. Griezmann has an £84 million release clause in his latest deal, which would force Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to break the bank to sign the hitman.

Conte also wants right-back Cancelo as he looks for defensive options to fulfil his tactics in west London.

The 22-year-old can double up as a winger and would provide the Chelsea manager with a diverse and fluid option.

Rico is considered one of the best young goalkeepers in Spanish football and could eventually claim the No. 1 shirt at Stamford Bridge if his rapid development continues.

The stopper has made his international debut for Spain and is third-choice behind David De Gea and Iker Casillas.

N'Zonzi is no stranger to the English game after spells at Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City before joining Sevilla in 2015.

Conte appears stunned by Chelsea's lack of quality and depth, and the addition of four talented players will go a long way to rectifying the current imbalance.

Griezmann would be the icing on the cake for Blues supporters, and the striker is on the cusp of becoming the best in the world in his position.

The manager's rebuilding might take another transfer window to facilitate, but the aforementioned talents would expand Conte's options at a vital point in the campaign.

The west London side has issues with its core and spine, but the purchase of the four reported players would allow Conte to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
