Chelsea Transfer News: Latest on Marcelo Brozovic and Bertrand Traore Rumours
Chelsea's hopes of landing Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic have reportedly improved after the player was said to have fallen out with manager Frank de Boer. Meanwhile, Bertrand Traore has spoken of his decision to join Ajax on loan.
Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Sport Witness' Lucas Sposito) reported the relationship between Brozovic and De Boer "isn't any good," encouraging talk of an exit from the San Siro.

Sposito also cited Italian outlet CalcioMercato.com, which reported the Nerazzurri would be more open to selling their star to the likes of Chelsea or Tottenham Hotspur rather than move him to a direct rival.
Brozovic was dropped for Inter's recent 2-1 win over Juventus, and De Boer has since defended his decision to keep the Croatian player from his squad, per the club's official Twitter account:
The 23-year-old moved to Inter on permanent terms this past summer following an 18-month loan with the Italian team, but it seems De Boer isn't committed to keeping the playmaker.
According to Football Italia, Brozovic took to his official Instagram account to defend his omission from the squad that defeated Juventus:
Brozovic started in 27 of his 35 total appearances last season, but De Boer has handed his anchor just 20 minutes of league football this season, suggesting he won't play a prominent role in his plans moving forward.
Goal's Nizaar Kinsella pointed out the midfield ace was also a big target for Chelsea over the summer, but the Blues were unable to claim his services on that occasion:
Elsewhere, Chelsea forward Traore has lifted the lid on his decision to join Ajax on loan for the 2016-17 campaign after failing to crack the first team at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking to Dutch newspaper Voetbal International (h/t Sport Witness' Dipesh Argewal), the Burkina Faso international revealed his delight at moving to the Eredivisie, as well as his hopes for Chelsea in future:
"My contract was extended and I had to be sent on loan so that I can get a starting place at Chelsea in the future. There were other clubs in England, but I found Ajax was the best option.
For me, Ajax is the best thing that can happen to me now. Playing in an attacking team, in a league like the Premier League.
Netherlands is the country for talent. I’ve noticed this for a few years. Here, everything is focused on football, which is great for an attacker. That’s why I wanted to secure a move to Ajax.
"
Traore earned his senior Chelsea debut in 2014 and has scored four goals in 16 senior appearances for the west Londoners, but he's yet to open his account for his new club since arriving on loan over the summer.
A promising run of form in Amsterdam could open doors for the 21-year-old back at his parent club, but the star-studded ranks of Chelsea still won't be easy to conquer upon his return next year.
