Chelsea Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Cesc Fabregas and Gelson Martins
Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas will reportedly seek a move away from the club if he's unable to keep hold of a regular starting berth under manager Antonio Conte.
That's according to the Guardian's Barry Glendenning, who added that AC Milan, Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Valencia are among the parties reportedly interested in the Spaniard.
The midfielder has been restricted to short cameos in the Premier League, prompting speculation about his future, but he has reaffirmed his commitment to staying at Stamford Bridge:
Fabregas did his chances no harm on Tuesday when he notched two goals and an assist in the EFL Cup third round against Leicester City in his second start of the season.
As noted by football journalists Dan Levene and Liam Twomey, he may have forced himself into Conte's plans for Saturday's match against former club Arsenal:
Per Goal's Dom Farrell, Fabregas said of his situation with Conte:Ā
"Hopefully, I can open his eyes and make him see that I deserve to play.
It's a new situation for me in my career after 13 years of basically playing everything for my club and national team, and it's been tough, I'm not going to deny it.
But the last thing I will do is complain or put my hands up and give in.
"
It's still early days in Conte's reign, and Fabregas has impressed in the limited chances he's had, so it's likely he'll get further opportunities to prove himself in the coming months.
If he can continue to have a significant impact as he did against the Foxes on Tuesday, he'll have no problem salvaging his Chelsea career.
Meanwhile, Glendenning also reported that Chelsea were among several English clubs to scout Sporting Lisbon's Gelson Martins.

The winger has registered four assists and two goals in five Primeira Liga matches this season and stood out with an exceptional performance against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu in the UEFA Champions League.
Football writers Jan Hagen and Kristan Heneage hailed his efforts as he repeatedly tore open Los Blancos' defence:
So too did his club on Twitter, who vowed he is "not for sale."
The 21-year-old rising star has pace and skill to burn, and if his contributions so far this season are anything to go by, his delivery is also improving.
If he continues to develop and consistently puts in a high level of performance, it's only a matter of time before he's snapped up by a club in one of Europe's major leagues.
