Liverpool Transfer News: Lorenzo Insigne Blow, Latest Marcelo Brozovic Rumours
Reported Liverpool transfer target Lorenzo Insigne has made it clear he has no intention of leaving Napoli, while Inter Milan and Marcelo Brozovic are said to have fallen out in a big way, and a January move could be on the cards.
According to TalkSport (h/t Liam Corless of the Daily Mirror), Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is said to be a big fan of Insigne and tried to sign him during the summer, but the Italy international, who was born and raised in Naples, does not want to leave the Partenopei.
As noted in the aforementioned report, Insigne said: "I am not thinking about it [a contract extension] but I want to stay in Naples. We will try to find the right solution for both myself and the team."

The 25-year-old has long been hailed as one of Italy's top talents, and last year was something of a breakout campaign for Insigne, as the winger scored double-digit goals in Serie A for the first time in his career.
He also added 10 assists, per WhoScored.com, and formed a deadly duo with star striker Gonzalo Higuain. Insigne was almost unstoppable at times, and it was a major shock when then-Italy manager Antonio Conte barely made use of the forward during UEFA Euro 2016.
Bleacher Report's Adam Digby was one of many who often didn't agree with the now-Chelsea boss' team selections:
The lack of playing time took away Insigne's chance to impress international fans who don't watch Serie A on a regular basis, but those who do already know he's a star forward who still hasn't hit his prime.
He's also been fiercely loyal to Napoli so far, with transfer links popping up every single summer. Premier League clubs in particular are often linked with the Italian, and it's easy to see why:
He's somewhat comparable to Sebastian Giovinco, the former Juventus star who was also usually the shortest player on the pitch and never got the chance to shine for the Azzurri. The Atomic Ant has been a smash hit at Toronto FC, reviving his career after his spell with Juventus didn't yield the results everyone had anticipated.
Insigne is a regular and productive starter for Napoli, however, and following Higuain's departure, the Partenopei will be counting on the local hero to step up. A contract extension seems likely and a transfer all but impossible.

One Serie A star who is likely to move in the near future is Brozovic, whom Liverpool scouted during the summer, per Sky Italia (Aaron Flanagan of the Mirror). According to Calciomercato.com's Lorenzo Bettoni, he could be on his way out after a massive argument with manager Frank de Boer.
The Croatia international wasn't even called up for the crucial rivalry match against Juventus and won't be on the bench for the upcoming clash with Empoli, either. Talks of a contract extension have been suspended, and an exit seems likely, with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur highlighted as destinations.
Brozovic was a wanted man during the summer, with several Premier League clubs reportedly interested in the versatile midfielder. Here's a look at some of his highlights:
The 23-year-old flashed tremendous potential on several occasions last season, but he struggled for consistency and couldn't guide Inter Milan against the top clubs. He didn't handle his snub against Juventus well, as shared by Football Italia:
De Boer's start at Inter has been far from perfect, but the win over Juventus will have bought him a lot of credit. If the situation with Brozovic doesn't improve and the new manager keeps winning, expect the Croat to become available in January.
