Thursday Recap
Play suspended for the day at 3:36 p.m., with all the later starters yet to begin the second round. Torrential rain and lightning were the winners as the electrical activity made play too dangerous to continue.
The players were back on the practice greens in the afternoon, but the storm clouds gathered once more, forcing organisers to conclude the day's action.
The European Tour confirmed the end of the day:
One player near the top of the standings made it back to the clubhouse before lightning struck again, as Richard Green completed a round of 66—five under for Round 2.
The Australian's performance was better than his first-round score by two shots, as he found his stride and consistency.

The veteran fired two birdies on the front nine and a further four on the back nine to leap up the standings as others waited and sheltered.
A double bogey on No. 6 was his only big error, as the 45-year-old dealt with the inclement conditions at the Golf Club Milano.
Willett continued his strong form from the opening round before being forced to a standstill. The Englishman sank four birdies during the 13 holes he played.
The European Tour highlighted Willett's accuracy on the greens:
Paisley remains in control as a number of players will be forced to catch up on Saturday before Round 3 begins.
The weather forecast appears kinder as Saturday's play approaches, and Willett is well-placed to challenge Paisley.
However, with so much golf left to play, the winner's cheque could still go to a number of different contenders once the sun comes out.
