Anthony Davis Retires from NFL
Right guard Anthony Davis has informed the San Francisco 49ers he has retired from the NFL.
Davis tweeted about his decision:
"I just want my time and mind intact, when you lose em both, you can't buy em back.

Davis had returned to the NFL this summer following an extended hiatus that started in June 2015. He remained with the team and was active for Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams this season.
When asked whether he wanted to address retirement buzz Sept. 14, Davis said, "No, just leave it and let it fester," per Cam Inman of the Bay Area News Group. Davis attributed the rumors to miscommunication, per Inman.
Inman reported Sept. 10 Davis, 26, "might retire again." According to Inman, Davis did not reply to a text message that asked him to comment.
In June 2015, the former Rutgers standout announced he was stepping away from football for a year to give his "brain and body time to heal and recoup."
"I hope you too have the courage to live your life how you planned it when day dreaming to yourself growing up," he said in a statement at the time, per CBSSports.com's Ryan Wilson. "Your life is your dream, and you have the power to control that dream. I'm simply doing what's best for my body as well as my mental health at this time in my life."
