Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has said summer signings David Luiz and Marcos Alonso can improve his squad, although it's unlikely either player will start in Sunday's Premier League clash at Swansea City. 

The Blues boss suggested his two late defensive signings are good assets to the team, per Chelsea's official Twitter account, but it will take time for the pair to adapt to his philosophies, per Goal's Nizaar Kinsella:

The former Juventus and Italy coach detailed Luiz will play in central defence, because that's the area in which he needed resources this summer.
