For years Managers have been making gaffes, and now I've put a few of them together.

Witty one liners and massive own goals are said by your weird mate, but also by world class managers.

Some are just mistakes, whereas others are just stupid!

......

First up is Ron Atkinson. From Kettering Town to Manchester United, and from Sheffield Wednesday to well... Sheffield Wednesday. He had his great moments, and his not so great moments...

"They've picked their heads up off the ground, and now they have a lot to carry on their shoulders."

"I never criticise refs and won't change a habit for that prat."

"He dribbles a lot and the opposition don't like it - you can see it all over their faces."

Jack Charlton, a member of the 1966 winning World Cup team, isn't a winner when it comes to geography...

"We probably got on better with the likes of Holland, Belgium, Norway and Sweden, some of whom are not even in Europe."

Scotsman, Tommy Docherty, on Dwight Yorke after his Aston Villa Debut...

"If that lad makes it as a first division, then I'm Mao Tse Tung."

Ron Greenwood, former England Manager, isn't much better at geography than Jack Charlton...

"Playing with wingers is more effective against European sides like Brazil than English sides like Wales."

Glen Hoddle being religious...

"Look at Jesus. He was a run-of-the-mill sort of guy who had a genuine gift."

The late great Sir Bobby Robson...

"We didn't underestimate them, they were just better than we thought."

Gerry Francis and his mullet said...

"What I said to them at half time would be unprintable on radio."

When a reporter asked Gordon Strachan for a quick word, Strachan replied...

"Velocity."

Quick and witty or just a tad stupid?

I guess even the best get it wrong occasionally, and when they do it's a good laugh for the rest of us.
