NFL 2016 Hall of Fame Game Odds: Packers vs. Colts Betting Preview, Analysis
Starters do not play much, if at all, in the NFL preseason, so it is no surprise that quarterback Aaron Rodgers may not take the field for the Green Bay Packers in Sunday’s Hall of Fame Game.
But Green Bay backup quarterback Brett Hundley may also miss the preseason opener, meaning an undrafted player could start against the Indianapolis Colts in a pick 'em betting matchup at sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark.
That is big news for bettors trying to figure out which side to back in an otherwise meaningless game. With former Packers legend Brett Favre getting inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, it would seem his old team might have a motivational edge to win for him.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Neither two-time MVP Rodgers nor second-year player Hundley practiced on Thursday, with the latter sitting out with an ankle injury.
Instead, Green Bay’s chances will more than likely hinge upon the play of Joe Callahan and Marquise Williams, two rookie free-agent quarterbacks who were not picked in the NFL draft.
Callahan played at Division III Wesley College and is officially listed as the third-stringer, so he would probably be the starter over former North Carolina signal-caller Williams. Both are expected to see lots of action regardless of who starts, though.
For the Colts, head coach Chuck Pagano has said his starters will play, including quarterback Andrew Luck, who signed a record six-year, $140 million deal in the offseason to make him the league’s highest-paid player ever on average.
Luck dealt with a multitude of injuries last season, playing in just seven games for an 8-8 Indy team that missed the playoffs for the first time in his four-year career. Luck’s backup is former Packers reserve Scott Tolzien, and he too should see plenty of playing time.
Indianapolis has been a notoriously bad preseason team recently, going 1-8 straight up and 2-7 against the spread in its last nine games dating back to 2013, according to the Odds Shark NFL Database.
The under is 8-3 in the team’s previous 11 exhibition games. Green Bay has gone 5-2 SU and ATS in its past seven preseason games, with the total finishing over in five of six following a 7-1 under run.
