UC Santa Barbara Freshman Sam Cohen Hits Walk-Off Grand Slam vs. Louisville

Sam Cohen is just living the dream.

With his team trailing No. 2 national seed Louisville 3-0 in the ninth inning of Sunday’s NCAA Super Regional game, the UC Santa Barbara freshman bombed a walk-off grand slam to right field.

Cohen looked like he could barely believe it:

The catcher stepped to the dish as a pinch hitter against Cardinals closer Zack Burdi, who the Chicago White Sox selected with the 26th pick in Thursday’s MLB draft.

Once Cohen’s shot cleared the fence, the Gauchos went wild. For the first time in program history, they’re heading to Omaha, Nebraska, for the College World Series.
