NASCAR at Dover 2016: Live Results from the AAA 400 Drive for Autism
Matt Kenseth held off both Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott over a furious final 46 laps to capture the checkered flag in Sunday afternoon's wild AAA 400 Drive for Autism at Dover International Speedway.
Kenseth led 48 laps on the afternoon and had to use all the tricks in the book to keep Larson, who led 85 laps and seemed to have the faster car, from earning his first trip to Victory Lane in the Sprint Cup Series.
A stunning wreck on a Lap 357 restart opened the door for several cars that hadn't yet tasted victory this season to compete for the win at the Monster Mile.
Jimmie Johnson led the field in the outside lane at the green flag, but his car wouldn't to shift into third gear resulting in an accordion-style pileup behind him that collected 18 cars per NASCAR's official count.
Among those involved were Martin Truex Jr. and Kevin Harvick, who led a race-high 117 laps but didn't factor in the finish after dominating the early race.
Larson, Elliott, Kasey Kahne and Kurt Busch rounded out the top-five finishers.
