Fantasy Football Week 3 Add/Drops

Garrett OlsenCorrespondent ISeptember 29, 2009

Welcome back everyone, hope everyone's week 3's were successful.  Here we go with the week 3 adds:

Running Backs:  If you own Frank Gore you must pick up Glen Coffee.  Get a claim in asap or someone else will take him.  Gore is out for 3 weeks with his ankle injury and Coffee will get the bulk of the carries.  Tashard Choice is a good pick up this week with Felix Jones most likely out against Denver and Marion Barber still a bit banged up.  I expect Barber to play, but Choice will get at least 12 carries and could be a solid flex option even though Denver has had the best defense this year.  Another name to look at is Corell  Buckhalter of the Broncos.  He splits carries with Moreno, but Buckhalter and Moreno have both been producing nice numbers this year. Also, if Julias Jones is a free agent in any league pick him up immediately.

Wide Receivers: Jonny Knox of the Chicago Bears is a solid pick up this week especially off of two straight games with a TD.  He seems to be Jay Cutler's second option to Earl Bennet, but still has fantasy value especially if you have a WR with a week 4 BYE like Roddy White or DeSean Jackson.  If you haven't picked up Steve Smith or Mario Manningham of the New York Giants, do so.  Also keep an eye out for Kevin Walter of the Houston Texans.  He is back from injury and had a TD last week for Houston.  He could be valuable.

Quarterbacks: If you lost Chad Pennington or if you have a QB on BYE week look at Jason Campbell or David Garrard.  Those two are only owned in 30-60% of leagues and they are nice BYE week or injury replacements.

Fill free to drop Chad Pennington QB Miami, Michael Bush RB Oakland, Mike Bell RB New Orleans.

That concludes my add/drop for week three but if you have any add/drop, trade or line-up set questions fill free to ask under the comment section and I will give you an answer ASAP.  Thanks again and good luck in week 4.  WIth any questions ask on the link below.  It is the site that I get paid for.  Thanks
