The England attacker had a mixed 2015-16 season at the Emirates Stadium, initially filling in as a striker before eventually moving back to the flanks, but an injury once again has interrupted his campaign.
Walcott scored two goals and had one assist in three UEFA Champions League starts for the Gunners prior to their exit at the hands of Barcelona last season, and he also recorded five goals in 15 Premier League starts.
Manager Arsene Wenger has come to rely more heavily on the likes of Olivier Giroud, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil in attack, however, with Walcott playing the full 90 minutes in league competition on just two occasions last term.
The likes of Sanchez and Giroud will be critical in the north Londoners' attempts to cope without Walcott if he is sidelined for any length of time, while Alex Iwobi and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain may also be called upon in the Englishman's absence.
