It was almost unbearable to listen to arenafootball1's press conference via conference call, but it was completely worth the static and noise to hear the answers to several of the questions surrounding the league.

Jerry Kurz announced 16 markets that will house teams for the new league.

"I am impressed with how hard (the owners) have all worked...to give back to the communities," said Kurz.

Kurz and many other owners of arenafootball1 teams worked especially hard to bring back the highest level of Arena Football.

Dan Newman, owner of the Bossier City-Shreveport franchise, announced the 16 markets.

Those markets are as follows: Arizona, Arkansas, Bossier-Shreveport, Central Valley (Fresno, California), Chicago, Iowa, Jacksonville, Kentucky, Milwaukee, Oklahoma City, Orlando, Spokane, Tennessee Valley (Alabama), Tri-Cities Washington, Tulsa, and Utah (Salt Lake City).

Tulsa, OK. will be the home to the arenafootball1 offices. And the league stated that it is committed to building communities along with football franchises.

Questions still surrounding the league are plentiful, including how many teams will the league have by the Oct. 9 deadline, as well as the player salaries.

Kurz was quick to answer some of the questions with a company line such as, "[The press] taught me a long time ago not to release everything at once.

"It's a brand new league,; it isn't another league; it's not a combination of leagues," said Kurz about the league's structure, amidst questions about teams that were previously in the arenafootball2 and Arena Football League.

"This is about as real arena football as you can get," said Kurz, drowning any questions about whether the AFL will return as the premier arena football league.

"Get ready because it's gonna be better than it's ever been," said Newman.
