North Carolina Players Prepare for NCAA Tournament by Pranking Freshmen

What an honor it is to lead a team out onto the court.

Prior to Wednesday's practice, the University of North Carolina freshmen briefly believed they had been given such a distinction—before the remainder of the squad stopped following them, that is.

Instead, the more senior Tar Heels huddled in the tunnel, snickering and waiting, setting the trap for their prank.

Having confirmed that their victims of comedy had indeed fallen prey, the bunch erupted into a chorus of shouts, howls and chuckles while pointing at the duped first-year players. 

It's been said that laughter is the best medicine.

If that's true, then No. 1 North Carolina is well on its way to curing any potential pre-NCAA tournament jitters prior to facing No. 16 Florida Gulf Coast University on Thursday.
