Klopp Reveals Lucas Recovery Timeline

Friday, March 4

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp confirmed Lucas could be out for up to six weeks, per James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo.

Lucas' Versatility Useful for Klopp

Lucas was one of three Liverpool players who failed to convert from the spot after the League Cup match against City had finished 1-1.

He had been fielded out of position in a centre-back role at Wembley, and he dealt with the threat of Sergio Aguero well.

However, Klopp will now need to call on other options in the back four as Liverpool attempt to finish the 2015/16 campaign on a high.

Martin Skrtel and Dejan Lovren are expected to return from their absences soon, with Mamadou Sakho, Kolo Toure and Steven Caulker other options for the German manager in the centre of defence.
