NBA: The New WWE?

The cats are flopping all over the floor and they're calling that (bleep). That (bleep) ain't basketball out there. It's all (bleeping) entertainment. You all should know that (bleep). That was Rasheed Wallace after Detroit's Game Five loss to the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Playoffs, a guy I saw hugging KG and exchanging some words!

He seriously needs a tissue. It's basketball! You're playing to go to the finals—everyone is going to sell themselves a bit to get a call! It's not like it's the middle of January and you're playing in the middle of the season.

Sheed, seriously man, you'd be floppin' around too, if you had expectations higher than the sky. You've had championships. Your team didn't acquire two all-stars that were placed with one another. The Celtics can't let the city of Boston down.

They have the Big Three, and they are trying to get to the finals in anyway, shape, or form! You're coming out crying like a baby when you should look at yourself. You're ONE TECHNICAL AWAY from suspension, not to mention you've got a hefty fine to pay. But don't worry, Sheed, those "cats" will get punished next year, because of the new "No Flopping" rule.

Fines will be imposed on players in clear cases of "flopping", which is, alledgedly, making a foul harder than it seems.

I say get rid of the fines. Make them play on asphalt and see how many flops there are. They are quick on this flopping business, but not on replays? I guess Brent Barry didn't flop enough at the end of Tuesday's Lakers-Spurs' game.

The NBA is fining millionaires! To players like Manu or Varejao, this is just spare change. You'll fine Sheed $25k for his tirade, but when Manu flops just to get an extra point or two, you'll fine him $10k. Watch—that's my guess on how much the fine will be!

I guess I can't wait for next basketball season—we'll see one percent less flops, and more of Rasheed "GET ME SOME REASON IN HERE!!" Wallace rants, and greatest of all, the Return of the next World Champs—the Boston Celtics.
