It seems that all of the hype that was surrounding The Ultimate Fighter 10 was kidnapped by the typical bad guy off of a cheesy show from the 80's. That's where a group of trained mercenaries usually come in and rescue the frightened hype, something like the A-Team.

The thing is, it's B.A. Barracus' alter ego that has stolen the hype and has snatched away a chunk of power from UFC president, Dana White.

Nothing to fret over, this is exactly like the he-said, she-said of the high school years.

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson will be back after the hot-heads are iced down. He'll be slightly older and an ounce past his prime but he will make a return to the UFC.

Nonetheless, the fight is off between Jackson and former light heavyweight champion, "Sugar" Rashad Evans.

There was speculation that Evans might fight Randy Couture. That was quickly shut down by Evans, citing terms of rankings and a short notice as the reasons why.

In a recent interview with MMAFanhouse, Evans hinted towards a potential fight with the fighter who just demolished his good friend and training partner in Keith Jardine. A down-right nasty fighter known only as Thiago Silva.

"Thiago Silva is a good fighter, I'd like to fight him and I think he wants to fight me. When I saw him after he fought Keith Jardine, he kind of gave me a nasty look that I interpreted like he wanted to take me on, and I'd like that. I think I match up really well with Thiago Silva. He's a great striker, and I love his focus. He's going to be a challenge, and that's the kind of fight I want."

The UFC is in desperate need of an opponent for Rashad Evans, and Thiago Silva is a perfect match in terms of scheduling, as well as the winner may very well receive a title shot. This is also a high-profile fight, which would be a perfect draw for the Ultimate 2009 at UFC 108.
