USMNT Watch: Bedoya Returns to Action, Williams Nets Goal for Reading
For the last two months, fans of the United States men's national team have been waiting to see one of their stars back on the pitch.
He may have only made a quick cameo off the bench for Nantes on Saturday, but Alejandro Bedoya continued his road back to full fitness, which is important moving forward for the Yanks.
Across the English Channel, plenty of USMNT-eligible players took to the field for their respective club sides. While most of the focus was on Tim Howard's head-to-head showdown with Brad Guzan, the real headline came out of the Championship, where Danny Williams netted an important strike for Reading.
Below we'll have more details on those stories and updates on the rest of the players in the talent pool at the club level in our latest USMNT Watch.
Bedoya Continues Comeback with Substitute Appearance
Bedoya made his first appearance since September 29 for Nantes in their 1-0 loss to Monaco on Saturday.

The USMNT winger was previously sidelined with an extended illness that kept him out of the CONCACAF Cup and three other international matches.
Although he isn't back to full fitness just yet, Bedoya should receive more playing time before the end of the calendar year. As long as he returns to his previous form, the Yanks should be in good shape by the time the next World Cup qualifying matches come around in March.
Williams Scores for Reading, Howard Defeats Guzan
Williams netted the eventual game-winning goal for Reading in the 34th minute on Saturday against Bolton Wanderers at the Madejski Stadium.
In the buildup to his goal, Williams ran into plenty of space in the middle of the pitch before he struck the back of the net to put the Royals up by two goals at the time.

Elsewhere in the Championship, Eric Lichaj started at right-back for Nottingham Forest, while Jonathan Spector earned a spot in the starting 11 at center-back for Birmingham City.
Up in the Premier League, Tim Howard's Everton defeated Brad Guzan's Aston Villa 4-0. Howard made three saves for the victors, while Guzan had five in defeat. If things don't turn around quickly, the Villains will face an insurmountable deficit in the relegation battle before the new year.
Wood, Wooten Go the Full 90
Two young strikers everyone should have their eyes on continued to earn consistent playing time in the 2. Bundesliga this weekend.
Bobby Wood featured for 90 minutes in Union Berlin's 1-1 draw with VfL Bochum, while Andrew Wooten started in Sandhausen's 3-1 victory over Karlsruher.

Wooten and Sandhausen sit fourth in the 2. Bundesliga table after 15 matches, while Union Berlin are 13th with 16 points.
Fabian Johnson, who started on the left wing in the last two USMNT matches, earned another start at that position for Borussia Monchengladbach in their 2-1 win over Hannover on Saturday.
Timmy Chandler came off the bench for a 68-minute shift in Eintracht Frankfurt's 3-1 defeat at the hands of Bayer Leverkusen.
Alvarado Sees Field for First Time in Over Two Months
Ventura Alvarado, who was a first-choice center-back for the USMNT for most of 2015, played in his first club match in two-and-a-half months on Saturday.
Alvarado came off the bench in the 81st minute in Club America's 1-1 draw with Pumas. Hopefully for the sake of his development, the young defender picks up more playing time somewhere soon.

William Yarbrough started in net and made six saves for Club Leon in their 3-0 win over Dorados. Miguel Ibarra was in the 18 but didn't feature.
Jonathan Bornstein and Alejandro Guido were the only other Americans in Mexico to earn starts this weekend. Paul Arriola and Michael Orozco entered as substitutes.
At the U17 level, Brandon Vazquez scored a hat-trick for Club Tijuana in their 5-0 victory over Atlas on Friday.
