Here is an early look at key NFL injuries for the week 3 NFL schedule for the fantasy football player.

Panthers vs. Cowboys

Dallas RB Marion Barber is questionable with a quadriceps injury.

Chiefs vs. Eagles

Eagles QB Donovan McNabb remains questionable. He did not suit up for the Eagles rout at the hands of the Saints. Last week’s starter Kevin Kolb would get the call again if D-Mac cannot go. Michael Vick is eligible to return.

“If Kolb starts look for Vick to be used in a lot of gadget plays, much more so than if McNabb does play,” says Bill Gould of ScoresOddsPicks.com.

Packers vs. Rams

Rams offensive tackle Jason Smith is doubtful. Smith was the second overall pick in hit year’s draft.

Redskins vs. Lions

LB Ernie Sims is out for Detroit. He has 14 tackles for the Lions this year.

Giants vs. Buccaneers

Tampa starting FS Jermaine Phillips is questionable with a broken thumb. Starting C Jeff Faine will also be out for the Bucs. He has not played this year. Also No. 1 WR Antonio Bryant is day to day.

Bears vs. Seahawks

Seahawks starting QB Matt Hasselbeck is doubtful with a cracked rib.

Broncos vs. Raiders

Raiders starting LG Robert Gallery is out for 4-6 weeks.

Falcons vs. Patriots

Atlanta first round draft pick DT Peria Jerry is out for the year. Atlanta is very thin on the defensive line.

For more information: There is no better way to evaluate how important a football injury is than to see how they affect the NFL point spread.
