Parker's Return Date Revealed

Monday, Nov. 2

The Bucks confirmed Parker has been medically cleared to return Wednesday against Philadelphia.

Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Parker will be active for Monday night's game against Brooklyn but will not play. Gardner added that Parker will go through his normal pregame routine in order to prepare for his first game back.

Kidd Speaks on Parker's Recovery

Tuesday, Oct. 27

"He looks great. He's done everything," Bucks head coach Jason Kidd said last week, per Rich Rovito of the Associated Press. "Hopefully, in that first couple of weeks of November, he can come back and start his process, his journey, of playing 10 to 15 minutes a night and hopefully getting his load bigger as the season goes on."

Parker Welcome Addition to Bucks Squad With Postseason Aspirations

Parker missed 57 games last season after suffering a torn ACL. The No. 2 pick in the 2014 draft was having a solid rookie campaign before going down, shooting 49 percent from the floor while averaging 12.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.

The Bucks kept him off their summer-league roster while he worked his way back from the injury.

Despite not having Parker for most of last season, Milwaukee finished 41-41, made the playoffs as a No. 6 seed and pushed Chicago to six games in the first round. The Bucks lacked offensive punch, ranking 22nd in the league with 97.8 points per game, but were strong on the defensive end, ranking eighth in points allowed per game (97.4).

If Parker is able to show the offensive skills that made him the second overall pick, Milwaukee could take off in the Eastern Conference, which is wide open behind heavyweight Cleveland. Parker must stay healthy once he returns to game action for that to happen, though.
