Mayfield Crucial Cog for Sooners
Since transferring from Texas Tech, Mayfield has taken his play to another level, even pushing himself into the 2015 Heisman Trophy conversation.
Injuries have been an issue for him in his college career, though. He missed time after suffering a knee injury during his stay with the Red Raiders, which muddled his status and led to his transfer. Then, earlier this year, he dealt with some shoulder fatigue.
He's an important piece of the puzzle for the Sooners, who are fighting for a spot in the College Football Playoff.
