Before the season began I made a prediction of an 8-4 record. Of course then I wasn't sure if the Notre Dame game would be a win or a loss, I had it as a toss up. I'd like to review that game and take a good look into next week's game.

Here is a small sample from my early prediction against Notre Dame, if you want to read the whole thing it's here: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/213625-why-michigan-will-go-7-5-breaking-down-there-schedule#page/4

"Game two of the Wolverines season will be the first huge test. This could really make or break the way this team is looked at and could either majorly help or hurt their confidence. Notre Dame should be a solid team...

I look for this to be an offensive battle, with the slight advantage going to the Wolverines. Last year the wolverines should of had this game and they let it slip and then got killed in the end. Like I said though this year they will not be letting silly mistakes and stuff like that to happen.

This game should be a rough, hard, battle, fought between 2 big rivals. I think it comes down to the last few minutes. Brandon Minor will need to have a big game in this one for the Wolverines to pull it out."

I think it's fair to say my prediction was pretty much dead on. Brandon Minor was the key person that made this victory happen, along with all the others who racked up rushing yards. In my opinion, it was pretty much an offensive battle right up to the end, where I gave the slight advantage to the Wolverines.

It was a tough battle and definitely their first real test. Tate looked good again and when it came make or break time he was calm, cool, and collected and got the job done.

I think in the end though what it comes down to is the Fighting Irish couldn't stop the run, nor could they contain Tate for the most part. Next year a lot of the same key players will be in for both teams, so I will be even more excited for that one.

Now we'll take a look at next week, their opponent is Eastern Michigan. My pre-season prediction for them was a blowout and I expected them to be the second easiest opponent, right after Ohio State. Ok just kidding about Ohio State being their easiest opponent, it will probably be Delaware State.

So far I have been pretty good with my predictions some I will stick to that I think it will be a blowout and even more so now that I've seen them in action. Expect to win this one by 21-28 or more if they really get clicking.

I expect we'll see more of Denard Robinson in this one as well, I was surprised at the amount of time he got against Notre Dame. Even with Tate doing so well, he could of went in with Tate or replaced him for a few downs.
