Beckham Active for Week 6

Monday, Oct. 19

The Giants announced Beckham would be active for tonight's game.

Latest on Beckham's Practice Status Ahead of Week 6

Friday, Oct. 16

ESPN's Josina Anderson reported Beckham is not practicing for the second consecutive day.

Coughlin Comments on Beckham's Injury

Wednesday, Oct. 14

"The trainers seem to think he's made good progress," head coach Tom Coughlin said, via Raanan. "He wouldn't practice [Wednesday if there was one], no. Hopefully we'll get some work in before the end of the week. ... All we can do is hold out with the fact that he is a very competitive young man and if it's at all possible, he'll be ready to play."

Beckham 'Day-to-Day' with Hamstring Issue

Wednesday, Oct. 14

A source told Raanan that Beckham is experiencing swelling but hopes to play in an NFC East showdown against Philadelphia.

Beckham Continues to Experience Hamstring Issues

Beckham has dealt with the injury bug for much of his young NFL career, missing the first four games of his rookie season with nagging hamstring issues, the same injury that slowed him down during OTAs in 2015.

Some speculated Beckham tweaked his hamstring while celebrating a touchdown against the 49ers, but he said it happened five to six plays before then, per the New York Post's Bart Hubbuch.

In his 12 games last season, Beckham took the league by storm, recording 91 receptions for 1,305 yards. He regularly made highlight-reel catches, whether they were one- or two-handed, thanks to his incredible athletic ability.

It seems the Giants cannot get Beckham and previous No. 1 receiver Victor Cruz on the field at the same time. Cruz missed the last 10 weeks of the 2014 season with a torn patellar tendon, and he has yet to play this season as he recovers from a calf injury suffered in the preseason.
