Man City 4 Arsenal 2. And yet I'm not really that shocked.

In the first half, Arsenal played like they didn't want to win, and at least we can say they succeeded in doing that.

In my opinion, the game was lost as soon as Arsene Wenger started Denilson, and Diaby started on the left hand side of the front three. There are several different ways Arsene could have played it.

He could have obviously played Eduardo up front and pushed Diaby back into midfield and not played Denilson altogether...or let's go one better and not play Diaby at all and play Rosicky from the beginning.

As we saw as soon as Rosicky came on, the way Arsenal played changed, Fabregas got into the game more, Van Persie got into the game as well. Before Rosicky came on, he didn't take any shots. When he did come on, Van Persie scored and hit the post.

I can obviously understand why he didn't play Rosicky and Eduardo. You know they have both had long spells on the treatment table, but you would think that a game which we needed to win not only because Man City believe they are challengers to the top four, but also because we had lost to Man Utd two weeks before.

However, Arsene Wenger decided that once again the team he chose had all the ingredients it needed to win the game, and once again he was wrong.

In short, Arsenal didn't entirely deserve to lose. The second half was all Arsenal with Man City catching us on the break, but football is a results game.
