J.R Giddens To Be Traded To Wolves For Atkins And Wilkins Rumor?

I know I know.... The guy's arms are too long.

I'd just like to run by the Timberwolves bleacher report fanbase that a few twitter insiders have stated that the Boston Celtics are planning on waiving J.R. Giddens from their roster.

But they would like to trade him along with another player for Damien Wilkins and Chucky Atkins.

I'm not too knowledgable on the Boston Celtics cap space, but something tells me they need some expiring contracts ASAP.

What can you say about a rookie who had to play under Ray Allen? What can you say about a rookie who virtually got no minutes? What can you say about a guy who's career high is only four points?

Athleticism? Defense? A shooting guard for crying out loud!?!?

In all seriousness, when J.R Giddens was in Kansas, he was the man. He was a defense standout with amazing athleticism and arms.

If the Wolves end up with him, I'm happy because we get a guy that can possibly replace Rodney Carney... It's just that, maybe that's a stretch.

But I would love to get young talent, for two players that aren't even going to play. Damien Wilkins will receive no minutes, and with the addition of Antonio Daniels, Chucky Atkins is virtually out the door.

Let's hope he can give us seven points, two rebounds and one steal in 15 minutes like Carney did. If the rumors are true..
