Week One of the college football season is over, and what a great and wild ride it was.

It was great to sit down and watch football all day on Saturday, and it was great to wrap up the weekend with a great shootout on Monday night. Football is back baby! And to make things even better, I got off to a great start with my picks.

Oklahoma State 24 vs. Georgia 10: To be honest, I never saw this as that much of a competitive game, but it was the match up of two Top 15 teams. Oklahoma State looked good. After watching OU stumble out the gates, I'll say it right now, OSU has a legit chance to win the Big 12. Yes, I know Texas is still out there. The spread on this game had Oklahoma State favored by 5 1/2 points, easy cover and a win for me.

Boise State 19 vs. Oregon 8: Okay there's no point in recapping this one at all because frankly the only thing everyone will remember is the punch heard round the world, and that came after the game was over. The spread had Boise State favored by four points, I said Boise would cover, and win, those two points I was correct one. However, I did miss when I also predicted to take the over.

BYU 14 vs. Oklahoma 13:
Without a doubt this game went down as the shocker of the weekend. Yet, if you followed my advice it was only a partial shocker. The spread favored Oklahoma by 22 points, I knew that was too much. People forget this is the exact same BYU team that was slated to compete for a national title last year. BYU got the cover, but they shocked me when they picked up the win.

Alabama 34 vs. Virginia Tech 24: For the second year in a row, Alabama has slapped around an ACC team in their season opener. This time the Hokies fell to the Crimson Tide. The spread liked Bama by 6 1/2, and they cruised to an easy cover. However, for what it is worth, Va. Tech put up more of a fight than I thought they would.
