MLB, NL East, Atlanta Braves, Arizona Diamondbacks, Preview/Prediction

On Thursday night, the Atlanta Braves completed a four-game sweep of the New York Mets. This kept the Braves in second place in the NL East, just a game-and-a-half back from the Florida Marlins, with the Philadelphia Phillies right beside them.

The Braves are one of the hottest teams in baseball, heading into a four-game series with the NL West division leading Arizona Diamondbacks, who were just swept by the Marlins in Miami.

There is one question on the mind of most baseball fans, however. Can the Braves keep their momentum going?

They will open up the series with the D'backs by facing the feel-good story of the week, Diamondback pitcher Doug Davis getting his first start back from the DL after being said to be "cancer free".

The Braves will look to keep their hot bats going and hand Davis his second loss of the season. Braves youngster Jo-Jo Reyes will go head-to-head with Davis in game one.

The other match ups for the weekend wrap-around series will be:

If the Braves can keep their hot bats going, the time couldn't be better to try and beat up on the Diamondbacks, while they are still in shock after being swept in Miami.
