On Thursday night, the Atlanta Braves completed a four-game sweep of the New York Mets. Thisย keptย the Braves in second place in the NL East, just a game-and-a-half back from the Florida Marlins,ย with the Philadelphia Phillies right beside them.
The Braves are one of the hottest teams in baseball, heading into a four-game series with the NL West division leading Arizona Diamondbacks, who were just swept by the Marlins in Miami.

They will open up the series with the D'backs by facing the feel-good story of the week, Diamondback pitcher Doug Davis getting his first start back from the DL after being said to be "cancer free".
