In another short week see how the CFL Quarterbacks ranked:

1. Cody Pickett

He completed 32-of-45 passes for 311 yards and two TDs in a 23-20 loss to Calgary. I did not expect to see Pickett put up another solid performance. Perhaps he is in fact a budding star quarterback in the CFL.

Only time will tell if he is the next Michael Bishop or not. The team around him seems to finally be showing signs of life, and the Argos could overtake Hamilton for second in the east by the end of next week.

2. Kevin Glenn

He completed 22-of-39 passes for 326 yards and three TDs and two interceptions in a close 31-30 loss to Edmonton. Glenn is showing why the Tiger Cats picked him up once the Bombers new General Manager Mike Kelly set him loose in the off-season.

Expect him to start again next week for Hamilton, and expect more of the same from this veteran. He may be the steady hand that this team needs to stay in the playoff race.

3. Ricky Ray

He completed 25-of-33 passes for 347 yards and one TD and one interception in a 31-30 defeat of the resurgent Tiger Cats. Ray has found his sweet spot this season and is showing why he is a top three quarterback in the CFL. Look for Edmonton to make the playoffs this season now that Ray is back in form.

4. Henry Burris

He completed 19-of-28 passes for 260 yards with two TDs and one interception in a 23-20 victory over Toronto. It says a great deal about the quality of play this week that with these numbers Burris is last on the list. He has been second to only Anthony Calvillo in terms of consistency this season.

What a week for the quarterbacks of the CFL! This week shows that the CFL brings a whole different brand of high-risk, high-flying football to the world.

Will Cody Pickett continue to prove myself wrong and become a top passer in the league?

Will Kevin Glenn get the Tiger Cats back on track?  Please comment on where you would rank the quarterbacks of the CFL in week nine.
