NASCAR Sprint Showdown 2015 Results: Winner, Standings, Highlights and Reaction
Greg Biffle and Clint Bowyer are officially NASCAR All-Stars.
Biffle and Bowyer walked away as the two segment winners at Friday night's Sprint Showdown, while Danica Patrick won the Sprint Fan Vote. The three drivers join 17 other competitors in Saturday night's Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Biffle and Bowyer got there the hard way by winning Friday's Showdown. Biffle took home the first segment, and Bowyer captured the second in dramatic fashion. NASCAR passed along the victorious moments:

NASCAR.com explained the unique format for the Sprint Showdown race at Charlotte Motor Speedway before Biffle and Bowyer impressed on the track:
"- Two segments, 20 laps each. The winner of each segment will advance to the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race.
- The winner of the first segment will report directly to the garage at the conclusion of Lap 20.
- All laps (green flag and yellow flag) will be counted during segment 1.
- Only green flag laps will count during segment 2.
- Between segment 1 and 2, there will be a yellow flag at which time teams can pit and may elect to change tires, add fuel and make normal chassis adjustments. Cars pitting will not retain their position on the race track.
- Crews will be permitted to work on the cars if the race is stopped due to a red flag. However, all work must be performed on pit road or garage area only.

Biffle's win in the first 20-lap segment likely felt good after a frustrating start to the season.
He only boasts a single top-10 finish in 11 starts this year and is in a disappointing 21st place in the points standings. He discussed what it meant to be an All-Star after his triumph, per Jared Turner of Fox Sports: “I’m so excited to be able to race for a million dollars tomorrow night. I’m excited to be in the big show."
Biffle didn't leave much to doubt, as Jeff Gluck of USA Today noted:
There was plenty more excitement in the second segment, although Bowyer probably isn't complaining after his impressive winning maneuver.
Martin Truex Jr. looked the part in the early going and actually led for two laps. From there, Kyle Larson and Bowyer charged toward the front of the pack, and the three competitors went three-wide for a time in the lead.
Bowyer took control from there with an aggressive push ahead. Jay W. Pennell of Fox Sports described the action, and Fox Sports 1 shared a highlight of the heart-pounding moment:
NASCAR Stats even had some fun with the impressive move from Bowyer:
Nate Ryan of NBC Sports didn't agree with Truex's strategy, when it mattered most:
This is the second consecutive year Bowyer won the Sprint Showdown's second segment. He parlayed that into a solid seventh-place finish at last year's All-Star Race, but certainly he has his eyes on a victory this time around.
He certainly has some momentum in his corner after Friday's dramatic win, and he proved he is more than capable of navigating traffic at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He will likely have to do the same Saturday if he hopes to win the All-Star Race with such a small field.
As for Biffle, Friday's performance was a much-needed push in the right direction. He may not win the All-Star Race Saturday, but at least he can feel good about his performance moving forward.
The extra confidence should pay off in a potential climb in the points standings later in the season.
