WWE Payback 2015: Final Picks and Predictions for All Matches on the Card
After Thursday's edition of SmackDown, the final card has been locked in for WWE Payback 2015.
All seven matches on the main show have now been confirmed, some of which will have a defining outcome on the shape of WWE moving into summer.
And with a decent-looking card in prospect, fans can be optimistic that Payback will hopefully provide drama, entertainment and excitement across the board.
But how will the matches come to a conclusion, and who will be the likely victors at Payback?
Let's take a look with some final picks and predictions for Payback.
Ryback vs. Bray Wyatt
1 of 7This match really should have had a more sustained buildup, in truth.
That's the case with a fair few matches at Payback, but with Bray Wyatt way down on TV time recently, he seems to have suffered more than most on the card.
A feud against Ryback is certainly not likely to be a long-term one for Wyatt, who is still struggling for momentum following his loss against The Undertaker at WrestleMania.
Therefore, expect Wyatt to make pretty short work of Ryback here. Wyatt's need to win is far greater unfortunately, which means that he is the most logical choice to come out on top.
Importantly, it should also be a clean victory. Wyatt needs a springboard, and his fans will be hoping Ryback can be just that.
Winner: Bray Wyatt
Naomi and Tamina Snuka vs. The Bella Twins
2 of 7With the Divas Championship again not being defended on pay-per-view, we're left with a tag match that has very little appeal to it.
The biggest note is Tamina Snuka's return to pay-per-view, in truth. She makes a good sidekick for Naomi, and the two of them have the potential to really shake up the Divas division.
And that's why realistically, there's only one likely outcome here.
Naomi and Tamina Snuka are on a bit of a roll, and with The Bella Twins struggling at the moment, back the heels to get the job done here.
Winners: Naomi and Tamina Snuka
The New Day vs. Cesaro and Tyson Kidd
3 of 7The biggest surprise at Extreme Rules was The New Day picking up the tag titles, so are we in for another new champion being crowd at Payback?
It's tough to call, in truth.
The New Day should really be keeping holding of the belts for longer than the brief period they've held them so far, but Cesaro and Tyson Kidd really are a great team.
What it means is we'll get another great match here at Payback, with a winner that is legitimately tough to call.
However, with outside interference from the third member of The New Day likely, expect them to pull off a heel-style victory.
Winners: The New Day
John Cena vs. Rusev
4 of 7Unfortunately, it seems likely that another win for John Cena on pay-per-view is pretty much locked in here.
Rena has wins against Rusev at WrestleMania and Extreme Rules, and the third in succession is on the cards here.
The big talking point here is what happens next with Rusev.
His affiliation with Lana will perhaps come into focus even more here, with that perhaps being the only sustainable thing he has moving forward to work with.
The result though? Not in doubt, sadly.
Winner: John Cena
Dolph Ziggler vs. Sheamus
5 of 7Dolph Ziggler and Sheamus have had a nice rivalry going in recent weeks, with Ziggler picking up somewhat of a shock victory at Extreme Rules.
The return of Sheamus has been one of WWE’s better success stories recently, with him working as a heel feeling just right for his character.
But will he get revenge here against Ziggler? You would have to say it looks a good bet, and if he does, Sheamus will seriously be looking up the card with impressive momentum.
Winner: Sheamus
Neville vs. King Barrett
6 of 7The battle of the two Englishmen at Payback promises to be one of the more fascinating feuds of the night, in truth.
It’s a real clash of styles between Neville and King Barrett, with their neat rivalry continuing here.
This is a match where both men have a genuine claim towards winning; Neville’s fledgling career on the main roster could experience a real shot in the arm with another win here.
But Barrett seems to be in a position where he needs the win more, especially after just being crowned King of the Ring.
Winner: King Barrett
Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Randy Orton vs. Roman Reigns
7 of 7Randy Orton and all three members of The Shield in the same match is a fascinating prospect for the main event at Payback.
Yet despite the star power he faces off against, it’s still very hard to imagine Seth Rollins dropping the belt on pay-per-view.
He seems destined for a showdown with Brock Lesnar at potentially SummerSlam, meaning it looking unlikely he loses out here.
The intriguing aspect will be the booking of the match itself. Will the WWE have Rollins continue with his crafty, sneaky victories to escape with the title again? It’s certainly one to watch out for.
Winner: Seth Rollins
