John Morrison: When Will His Time Come?

Yair GalavizCorrespondent IAugust 31, 2009

He is The Shaman of Sexy. The Friday Night Delight. The Guru of Greatness.

Yet, he has not been on the last few Pay Per Views for the WWE.

He has had epic matches with Jericho on Superstars, CM Punk on Smackdown, and his first World Heavyweight match versus Jeff Hardy.

This guy has had "Match of the Year" of the top ten caliber since joining Smackdown but he is not getting anything in return.

The problem with Morrison is the Smackdown roster and card.

He is too good to fight for the Intercontinental title, but isn't there yet to fight for the World title. He is stuck in limbo and no one seems to know what to do with him.

So far his feuds at Smackdown have been with Shelton Benjamin, CM Punk, Jericho, and The Hart Dynasty.

Sadly, his only long term program was with Shelton. He had a few matches with Punk, Jericho and now the Hart Dynasty, not to mention the one match for the title.

Now that Undertaker is back in the main event picture, who can John feud with?

A potential fantastic long term feud with Jericho would be simply amazing and would set up Morrison to fight for the title after the feud between the Undertaker and Punk finishes.

However, Jericho is busy in the Tag Team division helping RAW.

In reality, there is NO ONE that John Morrison can feud with from the Upper Card.

It would be best if Jericho drops the belts or have him feud with Morrison alone at Smackdown while he defends the tag team titles at RAW.

At this point the only "main event" level guy is Kane...and I don't consider him really a main event guy at this point.

I would think that the only thing they can do with Morrison is have him take a step down...just for now. Have him face Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental title now that Rey Mysterio will be out for a month.

Smackdown has been a fantastic show this year, but with Jeff Hardy now gone, Edge injured, and Jericho focusing on the tag team division, there is no one left at the Main Event level.

It's just Undertaker, CM Punk, and John Morrison. Unless they sneak Morrison in the Title hunt somehow, he will stay in limbo for the next 2 months.

That is a shame for such a fantastic talent at this point.

He is ready...give him the ball.
