Stephen Curry Sends Warriors vs. Pelicans into Overtime with Clutch 3-Pointer

It would’ve been easy for the Golden State Warriors to let off the gas and take a loss in Game 3.

Anthony Davis and the host New Orleans Pelicans led by 20 points heading into the fourth quarter Thursday night—better to rest up for Game 4, right?

Wrong.

With a flurry of drives and three-pointers, Golden State clawed its way back into the contest. But still, New Orleans was in the driver’s seat with Davis on the line and under 10 seconds left on the clock in regulation. Fans were ready to burst and celebrate the franchise’s first playoff win in four years.

But Steph Curry wasn’t in the mood to party.

The sharpshooting point guard buried a game-tying triple from deep in the corner with under three seconds to go, all while absorbing what should’ve been a shooting foul.

Curry's bomb sent the game to overtime, and his team took away the 123-119 victory in the extra period.
