Big Papi and Ryan Braun each hit a pair of HRs and drove in four runs. Mike Napoli hit a pair of HRs with five RBI. Orlando Cabrera hit two HRs and drove in three batters. Paul Janish, Dustin Pedroia, Yunel Escobar, Albert Pujols, Maicer Izturis, Ray Durham, Brian Giles, and Mark Reynolds each had three hits. Jose Gullen drove in four runs. Adam LaRoche, Casey Kotchman, Jose Lopez, Chris Young, Jose Reyes, Moises Alou and Todd Helton picked up three RBI. Ryan Church scored three runs.

Randy Johnson fired seven scoreless innings for his 288th win. He’s 4-1 on the year. Edwin Jackson allowed one run in 5-1/3 innings, with seven Ks in a no-decision. He beat Kyle Lohse, who gave up two earned runs in six innings. Jason Marquis gave up two runs in six innings to improve to 2-3. Edison Volquez allowed two runs in six innings to improve to 7-1 with a 1.33 ERA. Jeff Francis gave up two runs in 6-1/3 innings with seven Ks for his first win of the year. John “Rubber Soul” Lannan gave up one run on four hits in seven innings of work to even his record to 4-4 with a 3.40 ERA. Jeremy Guthrie, one run in seven innings, and he took the loss. Felix Hernandez (two runs in six innings) and Shawn Estes (6-1/3 innings, 1 R, 2 H) earned no-decisions as they dueled. Oliver Perez gave up two runs in 7-2/3 innings to improve to 4-3.
