Lakers: Do Any Changes Need To Be Made During The Summer?
When the season is finally over for the Lakers, weather its after the Conference Finals or NBA Finals, do they need to make any significant changes over the summer?
I think not.
If they don't win this year, they will most likely be the favorite to win next year.
Even with Bynum-less line up they have now, they could possibly win the championship. Without the young center they have managed to reach the Western Conference Finals.
Andrew Bynum played in 35 games this season before injuring his knee in a 100-99 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. He averaged 13 points ten rebounds and two blocks in his 28.8 minutes on the court, a vast improvement from the season before.
Bynum is arguably the most promising young center in the game at the moment.
With the Lakers knowing Bynum will be back playing next season, there is no reason for them to change a single thing.
They will have a top starting line up with:
PG D.Fisher
SG K.Bryant
SF L.Odom
PF P.Gasol
C A.Bynum
And then their is the ever improving bench.
T.Ariza SF
J.Farmar PG
R.Turiaf PF/C
V.Radmanovic SF/PF
L.Walton SF/G
S.Vujacic PG/SG
If they were to trade anyone of these players, it could shake things up and it might not necessarily make things better.
They are a young side, an improving side and I just hope Mitch Kupchak doesn't do anything stupid and break up this team, which could bring many championships to Los Angeles in the years to come.
