Do Arsenal Really Need To Buy Anyone?

LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND - AUGUST 15: Francesc Fabregas of Arsenal is congratulated by teammate Robin van Persie (R) after scoring his team's fourth goal during the Barclays Premier League match between Everton and Arsenal at Goodison Park on August 15, 2009 in Liverpool, England. Well, over the past few weeks since Adebayor and Toure left for City, all the talk of Arsenal critics has been, Arsenal need to buy. But do they really?

By the way this is not my thinking because we hammered Everton or anything, I have had this thought for a long time, I think we dont need anyone, we have a good young team starting to work together and who knows the effect of a new figure.

Defence

CB: William Gallas, Vermaelen—Starting to form a good partnership, an experienced player partnering with a good fast player. Djourou is still young, will be there after Gallas/there for injuries.

Right backs: Bacary sagna—a good player that is safe defence and normally helps out in attack and Eboue—versatile player, experienced. Team man.

Left backs: Gael Clichy—a good defender with good pace, can help in attack. Gibbs—still learning, made a bad mistake last year but that will teach him.

Midfield

Defensive midfield: the partnership of Denilson and Song is starting to work, with 2 Defensive midfielders it also allows fabregas a lot more freedom.

CM: Fabregas—Great player, with a great eye. Don't need to say much more. Abou Diaby—I am personally not convinced that he is any good but we shall wait and see
Ramsey—still learning, good player.

Right wing:
Walcott—again great potential, if he avoids injury, this will be his year. Eboue—experience and an attacking eye.

Left wing:
Nasri—can score a lot of goals especially with the way the wings function in the new 4-3-3. Rosicky—has to aviod injury, if he gets back to his best, he can be devestating for right backs to deal with. Wilshere—probably wont get much oppurtunities but good potential

Forwards

RVP—a great player with a calm head an good last touch. Nice creativity. Eduardo—if he survives injury and finds his best form, will score 20 + goals for the season. Bentdner— yet to reach his best. Vela—good young player.

That was a run-through of the Arsenal first team squad (not officially full but the players that play).

Pros of buying a striker:
—good target along with rvp.
—sharp finisher.

Cons:
—will take away team style, and bring back the 1 or 2 big goal scores and not much coming from the midfield (in the Everton game only 1 goal was scored by a striker)
—might have changing room interruptions which have gone now with Adebayor.

So overall with the way arsenal are playing I think they dont need a striker, do you?
