Barcelona 0 - Manchester City 1 (Friendly, August 19, 2009) Manchester City stunned the Nou Camp on Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s debut. Martin Petrov scored the only goal of the game finishing a finely worked breakaway move.

Borussia Dortmund 0 - Real Madrid 5 (Friendly, August 19, 2009) (Longer highlights here.) Los Blancos needed just two minutes to score in Germany, new signing Esteban Granero scoring with a cool finish after Real passed their way through the Dortmund defence. Seconds into the second half, Arjen Robben cracked home a second following a Kaka corner. Real killed the game when Gonzalo Higuian tucked home the third and Kaka quickly slotted home from the spot minutes later. Raul slotted home a fifth at the death.
