Alabama Football Recruiting Offers of the Week
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — With spring practice starting later this week, Alabama’s recruiting efforts have slowed down somewhat, at least in terms of dishing out offers.
This week, Alabama extended seven scholarship offers, going to the Northeast to seek out some talent from outside of its normal region.
Let’s get caught up with the latest offers.

Report: 24-Team CFP Gaining Steam
Terrell Hall, 2016 4-star weak-side defensive end from Washington, D.C. (Ohio State commit)
After going toe-to-toe with Ohio State in the College Football Playoff, Alabama is about to seemingly do the same on the recruiting front.
On Monday, Hall, one of the top players in the 2016 class, committed to the Buckeyes. Five days later, Alabama offered him a scholarship.
Hall wouldn’t be the first defensive end Alabama has pulled out of the D.C. area. Jonathan Allen was a 5-star prospect two years ago and has been a solid contributor so far in his career.
But Alabama will have to go through Ohio State if it wants Hall to follow that path.
"I just liked the family environment and the fact they can provide on or off the field and help me succeed whether I'm playing football or not," Hall told 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong about Ohio State.
It’s unclear at this point how serious of a consideration Alabama will be in his decision-making process over the next 11 months. But Saban and the Crimson Tide are trying to spoil Urban Meyer’s latest commitment.
Ron Johnson, 2016 4-star strong-side defensive end from Camden, New Jersey

Sticking with the theme of defensive ends from the Northeast, Alabama continued to make some noise in that region, offering New Jersey native Johnson.
"That was really big," Johnson told 247Sports’ Shane Youngblood. "I am really, really happy about it. I have got to get down there to take a visit and check things out not too long from now. I am really proud of it. I am happy that they recognized my talents and think I can play there.
"They are just a powerhouse program. They bring in the best. I am just happy that they see that in me. I just have to keep working hard and get better and better each day."
Johnson would be a big pickup at defensive end if the Crimson Tide can pull him away from the likes of Penn State, Ohio State or even in-state Rutgers.
Ole Miss and Kentucky are the only two other SEC offers he currently holds.
Danny Dalton, 2016 3-star tight end from Marshfield, Massachusetts (Boston College commit)
Alabama’s search for a couple of 2016 tight ends reached all the way up to Massachusetts this week, where the Crimson Tide will try to pull one away from a school that could be considered a couple of rungs below them on the college football ladder.
Dalton’s recruitment has only recently picked up steam.
Boston College gave him his first offer on February 12. He committed to the Eagles just four days later.
Now, Alabama may throw a wrench in that decision. The Crimson Tide offered him earlier this week. An offer from a school like Alabama could make Dalton rethink his decision.
His 247Sports profile does not list any other offers besides Boston College and UMass, so Alabama is making sure it gets in early in the process.
Other offers from the week:
Zechariah McPherson, 2016 4-star cornerback from Upper Marlboro, Maryland
TaDarryl Marshall, 2016 4-star athlete

Darel Middleton, 2016 3-star tight end from Oak Ridge, Tennessee
