Bubba Watson Pulls Tee Shot Badly at WGC-Cadillac Championship, Scares Gallery
Bubba Watson is having an uneven first day at the WGC-Cadillac Championship.
After posting an eagle on the 12th hole (a 601-foot par five!), Watsonโs driver abandoned him on the 18th at Trump National Doral.
The two-time Masters winner lined up his tee shot for the final hole of the day and ended up pulling the drive hard right, sending the ball screaming low over the heads of fans standing in the gallery.

SB Nationโs Trevor Reaske posted Vines of Watsonโs troubles on 18. The difference between this shot being a scare and a horrible injury comes down to fractions of an inch on Watsonโs clubface.
Fortunately, the ball sailed wide and found its way into a bunker. Unfortunately, Watsonโs second shot also spooked spectators.
Looking for redemption, Watson lofted the ball high out of the sand and watched as it dropped down into the not entirely empty grandstands rimming the green. Welp.
So let it be known: If youโre in South Florida and planning on traveling outside over the next few days, you may want to wear a helmet or several pillows on your head.
Watson will eventually iron these things outโheโs two under par and tied for 15thย as of this writingโbut until then, keep your head down and remember your five Dโs.
Dan is on Twitter. He just heard that tee shot whistle by.
