Freaking Out Over TNA Hard Justice? Maybe You Don't Have To

For those of you who don't know, TNA's latest PPV, Hard Justice, was on last night. I thought it was a very good PPV wrestling-wise, with the exception of the horrible Mick Foley vs Kevin Nash match, which was so bad I think I dozed off a bit during it.

Then we saw the World Title match. As I mentioned in my article yesterday, despite the trouble Kurt Angle got into just the day before, he was going to be at the event. Some people were not happy that he was released from jail, but I had no issue with that personally.

Many thought that because Angle got in trouble with that law, even being busted with HGH, he was going to lose his TNA World Title.

I asked B/R yesterday "should TNA take the title off of Angle and suspend him?" People were unanimous, all saying yes, one even said to FIRE HIM. That is why I made a poll asking if he should be fired, which was surprisingly high.

I don't think we should see Angle fired. He got in trouble with the law, but we have seen other wrestlers get into trouble with the law before and they were not fired after it. A suspension for 30 or 60 days would be fair, also it shows what integrity TNA has.

As most of us know by now, Angle came to Hard Justice like I mentioned and won the match, retaining his World Title. Some thought he would win, but Hernandez, who won his Feast or Fired briefcase back, would cash in the case on Angle that night.

Some thought Matt Morgan would win the World Title, putting the younger talent into the limelight more. In fact, it would be the perfect time to do it and it would fit in storylines perfectly.

But no, TNA had Angle retain.

But let's not get too upset with that right now. Heck, we have the iMPACT tapings to look forward to. Angle cannot be suspended while he has the World Title, so he is going to have to drop it at some point.

My guess is that TNA had no idea what they would do last night in regards to the World Title and Angle. They just went with the idea they had in the beginning. They probably need more time to get a storyline in place for Angle to drop the title.

I think it is a safe bet to think Angle will lose his title on this week's iMPACT taping and start his suspension.

If he is not suspended, I feel it is a travesty.

It sends the message, "If you're the top guy, you're untouchable. You can do anything you want if you're the big guy in the company, but if you're some mid-carder, you will be suspended."

Like I said in my previous article regarding Angle, if Dixie Carter will send Jeff Jarrett home and think about firing him even though he did nothing wrong, why not suspend Angle for breaking the law?

Is Angle controlling TNA?

This is what I thought would happen once we had all of the older vets come into TNA. There is no one there who can control anything. It's not about business—it's about the older vets holding on to their spot even though they don't deserve it.

Scott Steiner, Booker T, Kevin Nash, Sting, and others are no longer the wrestlers they once were. Sure, when they were younger and wrestling in WCW/WWE, they were THE guys.

They deserved to be in the top spot and the main events. But now, they are KILLING a company.
