Called Out MMA: The Other Saturday Night Fight
Saturday night proved to be a good night of fights all around the country. While the majority of fight fans were glued to Strikeforce's Carano vs Cyborg, dedicated regional MMA fans were at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California for Called Out MMA presented by Call to Arms.
The main event action consisted of former EliteXC Welterweight Thomas "Wildman" Denny facing off against Joe Cronin, a late replacement for former UFC fighter Brandon Wolff. Experience played an important role, as Denny managed to sink in a guillotine choke in the second round for the win.
Also on the card was a matchup of former TUF contestants as Roman Mitichyan squared off against Team Wolfslair's Mike Dolce. Mitichiyan was able to outlast Dolce en route to a unanimous decision win.
Another intriguing bout on the card featured one of the co-main events of the evening, pitting Gabe Ruediger against undefeated Wander Braga. Braga quickly found that maintaining his 10-0 record would be tougher than he initially thought, as Ruediger submitted Braga in the second round by guillotine choke.
