Paul Heyman Needs to Turn on Brock Lesnar and Manage Roman Reigns
The main event for WrestleMania 31 will see Brock Lesnar defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against the man who won this year's Royal Rumble, Roman Reigns.
Needless to say, this decision has fans split. Some think Reigns is too green, can't talk well enough on his own and doesn't have the charisma to be the top dog in WWE. At least not yet.
The other side of that argument is that WWE is finally taking steps to build new top stars after years of the same few names taking every available main event on every pay-per-view.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
It seems inevitable that Reigns will win the title at 'Mania, but there's a way to make it a more believable victory. All the writers have to do is have Paul Heyman turn on Lesnar and begin managing Reigns.
WWE needs to ensure its own future. Nobody can predict how talented of a Superstar Reigns will be a few years down the road, so all it can really do is test the waters with the guys it thinks can fill the spot.
The company tried it with Sheamus, and he ended up being pushed back down the midcard scene after fans became bored of his shtick. WWE tried again with Alberto Del Rio, and we all know how that ended.
Reigns might not be main event material yet, but there's no denying that he has certain qualities you just can't teach a rookie. One of those assets is his overall presence.
He is an imposing figure, and it's more than just his muscles. His look and demeanor make him seem like the kind of guy you wouldn't want to cross on a bad day.
His biggest problem is on the microphone. When he was part of The Shield, he was used mostly as the silent enforcer. He only spoke a few lines at a time, and it made him seem that much more threatening.
Once WWE broke up the stable and had each man go his separate way, Reigns' weaknesses started to become more apparent. He was still over with the crowd, but he wasn't connecting the same way Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose had through their promos.
His problem isn't confidence because he has that in spades. His problem is taking the lines that are given to him by management and making them sound like his own words.
He hasn't earned the right to say what he wants yet. It takes a lot of time and hard work to get to the point where Vince McMahon will let you improv in the ring.
All this sounds a little familiar, right? A muscular guy with a lot of athleticism who can't talk is the same description many people would use to describe Lesnar.
What was WWE's solution to making the former collegiate champion more digestible to the crowd? It paired him with one of the best talkers in the business, Paul "I'm just an advocate" Heyman.
Heyman took Lesnar from a guy who was little more than an impressive athlete and turned him into the megastar he is today. You can't attribute all his success to Heyman, but it's hard to imagine he would be where he is today without the silver-tongued manager by his side.
Rumors, according to Wrestling Observer Radio, have been circulating for months that Lesnar has been eying a return to UFC when his WWE contract expires after 'Mania, with UFC President Dana White going on record with UFC.com's Matt Parrino that he would love to see Lesnar back in the Octagon. If those rumors are true, it gives WWE a rare opportunity.
If McMahon and company really want to make Reigns the next top star, put the title on him and find a way to write Lesnar out of the picture, they have a great option sitting right in front of them.
Having Paul Heyman turn on Lesnar, help Reigns win the title and become his new manager would solve most of these issues in one fell swoop.
This wouldn't necessarily mean Reigns would have to turn heel, but with Lesnar getting more positive responses from the crowd, and the way the fans in Philadelphia booed Reigns after winning the Rumble, it would probably end up happening that way no matter how WWE wants it to play out.
With Heyman by his side, Reigns could be the solution to WWE's heel problem. All you have to do is look at the roster to see the lack of top talent fighting for the dark side.
Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt are excellent heels, but they are still working their way up the ranks. Kane and Big Show aren't going to get a main event push any time soon, and Rusev doesn't have the marketability to be the top bad guy in the company.
Reigns has the raw potential needed to fill a big hole in WWE's roster as its No. 1 heel, and with Heyman as his mouthpiece, the sky is the limit for the former Shield enforcer.
What do you think? Should Heyman turn on Lesnar and manage Reigns? Could Reigns succeed as a heel? What do you think it will take to make Reigns a viable main event talent? Share your thoughts in the comments section.
