Brett Favre Planning a November Surprise?
Did anyone else catch the meaning of Brett Favre’s quote, when asked if he would consider coming out of retirement any time during the 2009-10 season?
The gist of the remark was, "If anyone calls me on Nov. 1, I'd have to consider it."
A quick peruse through the Green Bay Packers’ schedule shows a Nov. 1 contest between the Minnesota Vikings and—you guessed it—the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field! Coincidence? I think not.
The diva of the NFL (National Favre League) is plotting a surprise for his beloved Packer fans. You know, those fans who supported him even though he consistently threw away playoff games with errant interceptions.
He wants to play spoiler to the Green Bay season and stick it to Green Bay right in their green and gold hearts by starting for the hated rival: the Vikings.
It makes perfect sense. Brett doesn't want to go to training camp or play preseason. Nor does he want the rigors of a whole season. You saw what happened in New York midway through.
Nope, give him a grand entrance and a few more games and he'll be happy.
Just watch. It'll happen. Tavaris Jackson or Sage Rosenthal will be struggling, people will start begging Brett to un-retire, and guess when he will make his reappearance?
I didn't tell you so. He told you so.
