Manchester United Accounts Reveal Hefty Sir Alex Ferguson, David Moyes Payments
Manchester United are reported to have paid Sir Alex Ferguson and David Moyes huge sums since the Scotsmen concluded their spells in the Red Devils' managerial position, according to the club's official accounts.
Nick Harris and Jack Gaughan of the Mail Online report Fergie earned £2,165,000 between October 2013 and July 2014 in the ambassador role awarded to him after his era-defining spell as boss.
The aforementioned report indicates his major wages are tactical, however, as United have "always understood the Scot's immense value as a global figure in terms of their ever-expanding commercial operation."

Moyes is reported to have received a payoff of £4,892,000 for his ill-fated spell in charge of the club. The current Real Sociedad boss never managed to escape Ferguson's shadow, setting his team up to play cautious football ahead of United's worst-ever seventh-place Premier League finish. He originally signed a six-year deal worth £30 million.
United's accounts also show £105,000 paid to Bobby Charlton for "consultancy services," per Harris and Gaughan. Like Ferguson, he also remains an important part of United's history and image. Football writer Samuel Luckhurst poked fun at the fee:
A recent Deloitte Money League report outlines United as the second richest club in the world, with a revenue of £433 million, behind only Real Madrid, per Sky Sports.
The transitional side enjoys a profitable sponsorship with Chevrolet and recently inked a 10-year contract worth £750 million with sportswear company Adidas, who will begin to manufacture United's kits next season.
Such payments should fund plenty of world-class signings for the squad, let alone keep the services of United's costly staff in check.
