Most Underrated Match on the Card

While the Triple Threat match and the Royal Rumble Battle Royal will steal the most headlines, the WWE Tag Team Championship match between The Usos and The Miz and Mizdow should have major long-term implications.

The match itself should be an enjoyable midcard battle. Jimmy and Jey Uso are two of the most talented wrestlers in the tag team division, and their innate ability to work together is unparalleled right now.

On the other hand, The Miz has never been the best in-ring worker but has learned to tell a convincing story, and his chemistry with Mizdow has been something to behold. With Mizdow on the outside mimicking everything The Miz does, there is no doubt that this match will be entertaining.

At the Royal Rumble, though, there is an opportunity for storyline development.

For weeks, The Miz has been teasing dissension with Mizdow due to the crowd reactions his stunt double was receiving. After Mizdow impersonated X-Pac on the go-home episode of Raw, the tension between the men is reaching a boiling point.

In the title match against The Usos, the hope is that Mizdow will accidentally cost his team the victory. With The Usos successfully retaining and The Miz enraged by his stunt double’s actions, he should attack him and leave him beaten down on the mat.

Later in the night, The Miz should be in the Royal Rumble Battle Royal. While he doesn’t have to throw anyone out, he must get in a face-to-face confrontation with Mizdow, who should refuse to throw himself out.

In one of the coolest moments of the match, the smart Philadelphia crowd should understand the magnitude of what they’re watching and explode when Mizdow finally stands up for himself. He will likely be eliminated immediately after, but he should have his moment to shine in this match.

While the two main events will have the fans talking, the storyline between The Miz and Mizdow and their championship bout against The Usos could produce one of the most memorable moments of the pay-per-view.
