Bella Twins vs. Natalya, Paige Announced for 2015 Royal Rumble

Although the Royal Rumble is one of WWE's biggest pay-per-views of the year, it won't be featuring a Divas Championship match.

The company announced on Raw Monday night that the Bella Twins will face Natalya and Paige in a tag team match:

The undercard for the PPV is somewhat unimportant anyway. The biggest draw of the Royal Rumble every year is the Rumble match. Everybody wants to know who will headline WrestleMania and compete for the world title. Whatever happens before that takes a back seat.

However, it does seem a bit unusual that WWE wouldn't use one of its most historic shows to showcase the Divas title and give two of the best Divas wrestlers a chance to shine.

Perhaps the tag match will help advance the Divas division in a way that a singles match couldn't.

Either way, with the Royal Rumble representing the first major step in WrestleMania season, it's clear the WWE is setting in motion its major storyline for the Divas division.
