Many see the departure of Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure from Arsenal to Manchester City, as a bad decision for the North London side, and fair enough. Striker Emmanuel Adebayor departure may have had many fans smiling but the truth is, the Togolese forward gave the Gunners, strength, height, pace, balance and depth upfront.

Defender Kolo Toure was probably a worse loss for Arsene Wenger's side. The Ivorian was Arsenal most experienced and most capped player on the Arsenal roster. Toure pace, strength and leadership helped Arsenal win the 2003/2004 double.

But the departure of the Africans only opens the door for the promising youth of Arsenal.

With Adebayor out of the picture it is assured that Nicklas Bendtner will step up and come into his own. Bendtner showed what he has to offer as the imposing striker and now with Adebayor at Manchester City, the Danish Bendtner becomes the first choice dominant striker to partner Robin van Persie.

Bendtner has a much better work ethic than Adebayor but does lack to pace and ball running ability of Emmanuel Adebayor. However Bendtner is only 22 and has a huge promising future a head of him.

Carlos Vela is another one who will benefit from "Ade" leaving the Emirates. This season is no longer a "cup" season for the Mexican sensation. With one less striker, Vela is certain to see much more Champions and Premier League game time.

As for Toure's departure, this just leaves a gaping door of opportunity for hugely promising youngster Johan Djourou.

Personally I believe Djourou is heading for huge things. The former midfielder is incredibly hard working, strong, tall and solid in the air. Now that the Swiss defender has sufficient experience under his belt, Djourou can only grow with more game time, which is coming in leaps and bounds thanks to Toure leaving.

Alexandre Song will also see his chance to play in his more suited position, center half. Song has great potential to be a strong defender and with the likes of William Gallas and Mikeal Silvestre guiding him, he will hopefully flourish.
