Alexis Sanchez Rubbishes Rumours of Arsenal Discontentment, Hails Arsene Wenger
According to certain pockets of Arsenal fans, manager Arsene Wenger doesn’t make an awful lot of correct decisions, but bringing Alexis Sanchez to the Premier League in the summer was certainly one of the club's better deals of recent years.
The Chile international has been nothing short of sensational since touching down in north London, carrying the Gunners at times with a string of sublime performances and leaving the likes of Gary Lineker to sing his praises:

However, just how content Sanchez is with life in England has been thrown under the microscope, with Nick Lustig of the Daily Star reporting back in October that the former Barcelona man was unhappy with his new club.

Fear not, though, Arsenal fans, for the man himself has now put an end to the rumours by saying he’s enjoying his time at the club, although he also insisted he’s not the big fish in a small pond that he’s made out to be—per La Tercera, via Ed Maylon of the Daily Mirror:
"Being 'the star' is all relative, I don't agree [that I am]. In this group I'm just another player. When you take the decision [to move to England], you have to convince yourself that it's the best choice. It's impossible to know what would have happened if you had made another decision. So far, I am happy at Arsenal.
"
He certainly appeared as much on Twitter, too, as he posed for the camera with his teammates following their less-than-convincing victory over West Ham on Sunday:
His happiness is no real surprise given that the 26-year-old is in such hot goalscoring form for the Gunners, with 14 goals to his name already this season according to WhoScored.com.
It’s just getting the players around Sanchez to rise to his high standards that has left Arsenal fans scratching their heads and labelling Wenger the problem.

However, the Chilean doesn’t see things that way, as he told Le Tercera that the manager is excellent with his entire squad:
"I have arrived in a league that I love, my club is fantastic with great teammates, a world-renowned coach who really cares about his players... everyone is great!"

Being at Barcelona for three years means that Sanchez is rather used to having a medal placed around his neck come the end of the campaign, but the chances of that happening this season appear quite remote.
The Gunners are still fighting for silverware on three fronts, but their lack of consistency means that Sanchez’s first season in England could be a fruitless one.
However, as long as the star man is happy and firing on all cylinders, there’s always a chance.
